Introducing "The Grid" – the City of St. Petersburg’s new employee intranet and mobile app, built to keep City employees informed, connected, and empowered.
Designed with the needs of our workforce in mind, The Grid delivers real-time alerts on city news and updates, easy access to employee perks and benefits, and a platform to celebrate achievements and recognize colleagues with kudos. Employees can also stay up to date on city events, internal happenings, track their hours, and request leave – all in one convenient place.
The name "The Grid" draws inspiration from St. Petersburg’s unique infrastructure — a defining feature of our city that connects us all. Just like our city's grid, this app is built to support and strengthen the network of people who keep St. Pete running.
To coincide with the app’s launch, our team organized a special event during the annual City Employee Appreciation Day, called “Party on the Pitch.” The goal was to help employees download the app onto their personal phones and provide on-site support for any questions or troubleshooting needs. To encourage first-day downloads., we created exclusive, limited-edition giveaways for the first 100+ employees who downloaded the app—making launch day engagement both fun and rewarding.
