ECHOES: VOL. 1 is a collaborative love letter to St. Petersburg’s rich African American history, and to the people who continue shaping it today. Created for Black History Month, this zine brings together local youth, artists, writers, elders, and leaders to celebrate Black culture, creativity, and legacy through design and storytelling. Within these pages, past and present meet: voices, visuals, memories, and moments that honor where we’ve been while uplifting where we’re going.
Dreamed up by the brilliant Sherrish Gaines alongside our City’s Marketing Department, this passion project was brought to life by an incredibly hardworking and dedicated team of creatives.
