In honor of Pride Month, and in collaboration with the City of St. Petersburg’s Marketing Department, I had the incredible opportunity to design our City’s first official Pride flag.
With current political restrictions preventing cities from flying the traditional Pride flag, we took a bold step forward by creating one of our own. This new design represents the full LGBTQ+ community while proudly incorporating St. Pete’s official city seal, framed by inclusive Pride colors.
To unveil the flag, with hosted a fabulous street fair packed with local queer vendors and a fierce drag performance. We handed out free flags to the first 500 residents—and the response was so overwhelming, we immediately ordered more to continue distributing to businesses and residents across the city throughout Pride month.
