For its 13th anniversary, the Sunscreen Film Festival board sought a refreshed look for its brand. We modernized the local film festival’s logotype and logomark by separating them and moving toward simplified lines and type. The result is a fresher and more recognizable logo on all collateral. As part of our partnership with the festival, we also designed the program, ads, festival passes, and tap handle for a collaboration beer with Green Bench Brewing Co. Our client wanted to keep some “funk” in the brand as a nod to St. Pete’s vibrant and independent spirit, so the image treatment retains the vintage vibe with a high-contrast, eye-catching color palette.
